I met Jenny at a symposium a few years ago and we got on with each other immediately. She is a wonderful woman who is grounded and knows what she wants. Love has brought her from England to Germany.
When Jenny told me about Florian’s proposal, I was over the moon when she asked me to capture her wedding with my camera.
At the beginning of June, friends from all over the world gathered in the delightful Flete Estate in Plymouth, southwest England, to celebrate the two lovely souls.
Since Florian is from Germany and Jenni was born in England, it was clear from the start that the wedding would be a colorful cultural mix. With a lot of love, they combined elements from both cultures to give the wedding its own flair.
The villa has given the wedding a wonderful setting.
The evening before, all friends were greeted in typical English style with fish ‘n chips.
Quite unusual for England was the weather on the wedding day. 26 degrees and barely a cloud. I was told that was the only beautiful day of the summer.
We decided to start the wedding day with the bridal couple shoot, because in the morning, the low tide allowed the river to retreat completely and we were able to walk to the sea on the riverbed barefoot. The water released an incredible landscape of green algae and amazing rock formations.
Then it was time for the very personal wedding ceremony, written and directed by Amanda Hopkin. I have also had my marriage ceremony written by this wonderful soul and I can only recommend her to anyone who wants something very special for their ceremony.
The whole day was packed with emotions and good mood, culminating in sparkling fireworks.
Thank you two, that I was able to capture your day with my camera and celebrate with you as a guest. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Hugs and kisses!
